Description
From Kaap Kobbeduinen, a wooden beacon for shipping, the east side of the island can be viewed beautifully. From here, migratory birds can be nicely observed. Outside the breeding season, the Oosterkwelder can be walked from here. It is closed to the public during the breeding season, but the viewpoint is still a good place for birdwatching. Breeding birds here include the lyžičiar biely, škovránok poľný and skaliarik sivý. During migration, among others krutohlav hnedý, sokol kobcovitý, ľabtuška červenohrdlá, brehuľa hnedá, svrčiak zelenkavý, drozd kolohrivec and dážďovník plavý can be spotted.

Nederlands: De Kobbeduinen zijn duinen aan de oostkant van Schiermonnikoog. Kaap Kobbeduinen geeft een prachtig uitzicht over de Oosterkwelder. Vanaf Kaap Kobbeduinen, een houten baken voor de scheepvaart, kan de oostzijde van het eiland prachtig worden overzien. Hiervandaan kunnen trekvogels mooi worden waargenomen. Buiten het broedseizoen is vanaf hier de Oosterkwelder te bewandelen. In het broedseizoen is deze afgesloten voor publiek maar is het uitzichtpunt nog steeds een goede plek om vogels te bekijken. Broedvogels zijn hier onder meer de lyžičiar biely, škovránok poľný en skaliarik sivý. Tijdens de trek kunnen hier onder meer krutohlav hnedý, sokol kobcovitý, ľabtuška červenohrdlá, brehuľa hnedá, svrčiak zelenkavý, drozd kolohrivec en dážďovník plavý worden waargenomen.

Access
The area can be reached by bike or on foot. At the end of the cycle path there is room to park the bicycle. During the breeding season (April 15 to July 15) access to the area is limited, whereby the Oosterkwelder is closed. But the path to the viewpoint with the wooden beacon which is shown on the map below, is open and accessible all year round.

Nederlands: Het gebied is met de fiets of wandelend te bereiken. Aan het einde van het fietspad is plaats om de fiets te stallen. In het broedseizoen (15 april-15 juli) is het gebied beperkt toegankelijk waarbij de Oosterkwelder is afgesloten. Maar het pad naar het uitzichtpunt met het houten baken dat hieronder op de kaart is weergegeven, is wel het hele jaar door geopend en toegankelijk.
