Forest, ponds and marshes on the west side of the Naardermeer with easy access en good birding.
On the west side of the Naardermeer there is a well-known bird hotspot, the polder Hilversumse Bovenmeent. Bird lovers come from far and wide to these shallow ponds to spot egrets, lyžičiar biely and other rare bird species from the polder roads and the viewing screen. In spring but also during both migration periods this area has proven to be an exceptional place. Sometimes ibisovec hnedý and kršiak rybár in autumn.
Best way to get here is by bike from the south-east side. No cars are allowed here. After a visit to this spot you can choose to make a bike tour around the big lake ("Naardermeer") which takes you around 2-3 hours. You can also walk from trainstation Naarden-Bussum (4,5 km)
