Description
The Schammer is a nature reserve located between the Barneveldse Beek and the Valleikanaal. The area was redesigned in the winter of 2010-2011. It consists of wet barren grasslands and reed marsh. In addition to a nature reserve, it was also given a recreational function and could be used as a storage facility for large amounts of rainwater.
It is a very wide and open area. There are a number of ponds and ditches, you will also find a lot of reed and swamp forests. There are many bird species such as: slávik modrák, kačica divá, kačica chripľavka, kačica chrapačka,rybárik riečny, cibík chochlatý, beluša veľká en bažant obyčajný.
