From the harbour and the pier of Ameland you have a good view of the many tidal parts of the Wadden Sea. A perfect place for resting waders. The birds forage and rest on the tidal flats. Many brehár hrdzavý, kalužiak červenonohý and lastúrničiar strakatý can be found here. There are also many different types of gulls to see, such as čajka tmavá and čajka morská, čajka striebristá, čajka smejivá and terns. Also keep an eye out for hlaholka severská and norec tenkozobý.

The harbour is located near the village of Nes on Ameland. Easily accessible by bicycle. Car park at the port. Note: paid parking.
