Description

Parc Lalla Hasna is a large city park near the city centre of Marrakech. It is located right next to the large Koutoubia mosque and the large El Fna square. It's a great place to observe many species of songbird in this very green part of the city. The park is divided by several pathways all leading to the fountain in the center of the park. The rest of the park contains many trees, bushes and flowerbeds.

The (palm)trees are used by common species of songbird, like bylbyl bradatý, škorec jednofarebný and strnádka domová. Other scarcer species, like strakoš veľký and sedmohlások širokozobý, can be found in especially the more quiet areas near the edges of the park. If you're lucky, the very beautiful žltochvost bieločelý might show itself!

Flocks of swifts, being mainly dážďovník plavý and dážďovník malý, tend to hang around the mosque tower and also over the park. Sometimes a dážďovník obyčajný or dážďovník skalný can be found within these flocks.

Also predatory birds can be observed above the park, like orol malý and haja tmavá. sokol myšiar (pustovka) can be found perching on (mostly) palm trees.
