An island in the Bojana delta, covered by forests and marshes. South side is a large beach with salt marshes and steppes in hinterland. West side is inhabited.
The proximity to the Ulcinj salina and exit to the Adriatic sea makes the island Ada Bojana a great migration route for birds. Large flocks of kačica chrapačka, kačica lyžičiarka, kačica hvizdárka, čajka malá, čajka čiernohlavá fly over the island on migration. It is wintering site for great numbers of potáplica malá and rybár sivý, but potáplica stredná, Víchrovník plavý (skup.) and turpan tmavý too. During breeding season ibisovec hnedý and lyžičiar biely feed in the marshes.
Ada Bojana can be accessed by car, but if you want to visit whole beach and other parts of island you need to go by foot. Click on a P in the map for directions to a parking spot.
