Parco Le Folaghe or Oasi Sovracomunale le Folaghe is a wetland that is located on the migratory routes of many birds. Combined with the variety of environments (shallow and deep waters, wooded areas, within a large area used for intensive agriculture) this attracts many birds. More than 260 bird species have been recorded. From the only observation hide south of the lake, with a telescope, you can observe: waders like pobrežník čiernozobý, močiarnica mekotavá, kalužiačik malý, kalužiak močiarny and kalužiak perlavý, herons like beluša malá, volavka purpurová, čaplička vlasatá, chavkoš nočný and beluša veľká. Access
Take the A21 motorway to the Voghera exit, then from the town of Casei Gerola, continue following the signs for Silvano Pietra, then turn right onto a dirt road which leads to the bird hide after 400-500 meters. A circular route around the area is 3 km.
