Description
During the spring migratory period Lago di Peretola is used as a stopover as the water level is high and the lake rich in food for birds. The bird species observed in recent years are many and some even of great importance. Among the birds that have been seen are potápka čiernokrká, lyžičiar biely, chriašť bodkovaný, ibisovec hnedý, chavkoš nočný, volavka purpurová, kukučka obyčajná, šišila bocianovítá, kalužiak močiarny and trasochvost horský.

Durante il periodo migratorio primaverile viene usato come tappa di sosta essendo pieno d'acqua e di gamberi. Le specie osservati negli ultimi anni sono molteplici e alcune anche di grande rilievo.

The place can be a little out of the way at first, but once you understand how to get there it is really easy to get to. Outside the main gate there is a road where you can pull over to park cars. On foot you reach the gate where you can enter freely by opening the side door and lifting a latch, which will then be repositioned. At the bottom of the gardens there is a green gate that is always open which will be closed like the first one. There are two observatories, one immediately on the right and one following a path along the reeds on the left. You can also reach the cabin opposite to these two on foot, but exiting the gates and following the west side of the lake, which offers another view of the lake.

Italiano: Il posto si può presentare un po' fuori mano all'inizio, ma una volta capito come arrivarci è veramente facile da raggiungere. Fuori dal cancello principale c'è una strada dove si può accostare per parcheggiare le macchine. A piedi si raggiunge il cancello dove si può entrare liberamente aprendo la porticina laterale e alzando un chiavistello, che andrà poi riposizionato. In fondo agli orti c'è un cancellino verde sempre aperto che andrà richiuso come il primo. Gli osservatori sono due uno subito sulla destra e uno seguendo un sentiero lato canneto sulla sinistra. Si può anche raggiungere a piedi, uscendo però dai cancelli e seguendo il lato ovest del lago, il capanno opposto a questi due che offre un altra visuale sul lago.

It is recommended not to climb the lake banks for any reason, avoiding frightening the animals and closing the observation windows once they are open. Note: in recent years in mid-summer and autumn the lake was dry due to the great drought and plumbing problems.
