Before or after visiting the Orbetello Lagoon it is a good idea to explore the Bosco di Patanella too. It has various bird species of wetlands and Mediterranean forest. Park down the street in a fairly large parking lot. Pass the gate that is always open and continue on foot along the marked path that passes by various observatories overlooking the lagoon and into the grove.
