Description
The Laxá River is located on the western side of Lake Mývatn and flows out of the lake towards the bay of Húsavík. It's a fast flowing river and provides an ideal habitat for kamenárka strakatá, which can be observed great from this spot. Small flocks can be seen resting on the shoreline. Other species that can be found here are hlaholka veľká and sometimes potápač veľký.
The shores are a good spot for breeding waders, like močiarnica mekotavá and kalužiak červenonohý.
