Nagy-tó means Big Lake. In this large wetland next to the village of Tiszaalpár there is a big heron nesting colony in the willows-jungle around the Big Lake. Plenty of chavkoš nočný, hltavka chochlatá, beluša malá, beluša veľká, volavka popolavá, volavka purpurová, lyžičiar biely and čaplička vlasatá nest in the area. But there are many other interesting birds to see like čajka čiernohlavá, potápka červenokrká, potápač malý, orliak morský and ľabtuška červenohrdlá.
