Description
The Vouvaris river lies just north of Achladeri, and flows into the Gulf of Kalloni. The area is good for common migrant species, like waterfowl, waders, gulls and some spots for songbirds. In winter, you can scan the open water of the gulf for wintering species, like čajka tmavá, potápka čiernokrká and potápka chochlatá. Near the shore, rybárik riečny can be found, and the river's edge is good for trasochvost horský.
The small inlets on the side of the river are old fishpens. These don't attract a lot of birds, but the surrounding mudflats and pools can be good for waders, like kalužiak sivý and kalužiak červenonohý. The scattered bushes are worth checking for migrating shrikes and chats.
