Description
The lagoon is the 'waterlily lake' mentioned by Gerald Durrell in My Family and Other Animals. However it appeared lifeless on my September visit. The island has 3 beaches, accessible by car, and good scrub and heath habitat favoured by warblers, strnádka lúčna, výrik lesný and hrdlička poľná. A pair of orol skalný were hunting over the wooded hills on return journey to Roda. Other birds you can enconter are lastovička červenochrbtá, dážďovník skalný, lastovička skalná, penica fúzatá, penica sivá and penica záhradná.
