These sewage ponds of a sugar factory serve as a habitat for numerous bird species.
More than 100 species of birds nest, breed and rest in the Offstein Klärteiche. Since rare species can also be seen here and the area actually belongs to the sugar factory, entering the nature reserve is prohibited. However, there are several paths from which you can observe birds.
The Offstein Klärteiche are located in near the town of Offstein. From a parking lot near the entrance you can explore the area on foot. Press P on the map for directions.
