Description
Moosschwaige has surprisingly varied habitats. There are reedbeds (trsteniarik bahenný, trsteniarik veľký), ponds and streams (chriašteľ vodný, rybárik riečny) with attached wetland being actively maintained by beavers. There are also woods and grassland.
Star species are sedmihlások hájový, strakoš obyčajný and kukučka obyčajná in the summer, strakoš veľký in the winter, and woodpeckers all year round, including ďateľ malý , žlna sivá and tesár čierny.

Moosschwaige is located in the west of Munich, reachable from Aubing or Freiham S-Bahn (30 minute walk). Allow at least two hours to explore. Press P on the map for directions to a parking spot. The circular walking route indicated on the map is about 4 km.
