Description
Jröne Meerke (little green sea) is a small park with a pond at the north-western edge of the city of Neuss. It contains the only Western European colony of hus snežná. Depending on the season there are also numerous other waterfowl, such as chochlačka vrkočatá, kačica divá, kačica chripľavka, potápka malá, kormorán veľký, sliepočka vodná or lyska čierna. There are many trees and a small forest in the park that host numerous songbirds, including drozd plavý, drozd trskota, brhlík obyčajný, pinka obyčajná, stehlík obyčajný, zelienka obyčajná, červienka obyčajná, sýkorka belasá, sýkorka veľká and many more. If you want to see the hus snežná, you should come in the early morning or before sunset as the geese often go out to the surrounding fields for feeding.
