Description
The Herrenteich attracts various waders (kulík riečný, kalužiak sivý, kalužiak tmavý, kalužiak močiarny, kalužiak perlavý, močiarnica mekotavá), especially during migration times. These birds are less common regionally. You can often see the rybárik riečny, trasochvost horský, haja tmavá, haja červená and various ducks and geese. From time to time bocian čierny, jastrab krahulec, jastrab veľký are flying over. Now and then, kršiak rybár, kaňa močiarna, and sokol lastovičiar can also be seen.
The area can be seen from two sides and the footbridges can be walked on. One side of the lake is overgrown with trees. Another is covered with reeds.

The area is best explored on foot and free parking is available directly in front of the lake at the inn. The footbridges are freely accessible and you can enjoy a drink while watching.
