Other birds that are observerd regularly are rybárik riečny, orliak morský, kaňa močiarna, trsteniarik bahenný, trsteniarik veľký, slávik modrák and fúzatka trstinová. During migration you can observe birds like čajka malá, kršiak rybár, čorík čierny and chochlačka sivá.
Coolest one I've seen were potápač malý in winter and I heard vlha obyčajná in the trees in summer. The boardwalk goes out into the lake and along the reeds. Also great spot for landscape photography.

The Hemmelsdorfer See is located north of Lübeck in the immediate vicinity of the Baltic Sea. The restaurant has a small parking lot, in which you can get a spot very early in the morning. . Otherwise there is a free, public parking area available a little further down the road, which I marked as the trail head. Click on a P in the map for directions.
