Description
The typical species of a city can be seen at the Decksteiner Weiher in summer. On the lake bernikľa veľká, húska štíhla, potápka chochlatá and kačica divá can be seen. Around the lake you can observe žlna zelená, stehlík obyčajný, ďateľ prostredný and much more. In winter, however, more rare duck species such as chochlačka vrkočatá, chochlačka sivá, kačica chripľavka and with a bit of luck also chochlačka bielooká can be found.

Decksteiner Weiher is easy to reach by bike from Cologne (Köln). You can also get there easily by car. Click on a P in the map for directions to a parking. A circular walk around the lake is about 5 km.
