The largest inland saltwater marshland in Schleswig-Holstein. In some places the salt content of the water is as high as that of the North Sea.
The Brenner Moor is a big reed area with open water areas. A path leads through the middle of a fairly closed reed area, turns off at the course of the river. This is followed by another path through the reed area. Otherwise meadows. The Brenner Moor is good for observing slávik modrák, pŕhľaviar červenkastý and pŕhľaviar čiernohlavý. Also kaňa močiarna, svrčiak slávikovitý, chriašteľ vodný, trsteniarik malý and trsteniarik bahenný.
Access via minor country roads near Bad Oldesloe. Ends at the parking lot, then continue on a paved sandy path or boardwalk. Click on a P in the map for directions. The indicated walking route is about 2 km (one way).
