Description
The Bordelumer Heide with its many habitats ranging from spruce forests and little ponds to heathland, provides a home to different bird species. In the forest you can find birds such as muchár sivý, sýkorka chochlatá and kôrovník dlhoprstý. The ponds and the surrounding reed are habitats for trsteniarik bahenný, hus divá and rybárik riečny. Where the area is more open you can hear ľabtuška hôrna sing in spring. kukučka obyčajná, strnádka obyčajná, stehlík hnedkavý and pŕhľaviar čiernohlavý are also breeding in the heath areas. A sokol sťahovavý breeds near by in the radiotower. Sometimes orliak morský are flying over the area to hunt at the coastline.

Access
The nearest trainstation is located in Langenhorn. From there it is possible to walk but it is more convenient to take a bike. There are parkingplaces along the mainroad from where you can access the area by foot. Click on a P in the map for directions. The circular route on the map is about 5 km.
