Near the town of Port Vitrezay, the marshlands and lakes of Pôle-Nature de Vitrezay are home to many birds.
Pôle-Nature de Vitrezay nature reserve is located in the largest wild estuary in Europe. The marshlands and lakes of Pôle-Nature de Vitrezay are home to a number of bird species including storks, herons, orliak morský, haja červená, as well as otters. It is also an important stopping off point for migratory birds. This nature reserve is also known for it's "carrelets", fisherman's huts where you'll find a typical and remarkable flora and fauna in a humid zone.
