Description
Neuvry is a very good spot for waterbirds, and also for local rarities. čajka čiernohlavá and čajka smejivá breed in small numbers, as do hrdzavka potápavá , chochlačka vrkočatá and potápka čiernokrká. hltavka chochlatá, beluša veľká and beluša malá are all regular. Waders are quite common in stopover, especially Tringa sandpipers. močiarnička tichá winters in the area.
čajka malá , čorík bahenný, čorík čierny and kršiak rybár are regular. This also a good place for ducks in migration period. Among the recent rarities are kalužiak štíhly , čaplička vlasatá , ľadovka dĺhochvostá , potápka červenokrká , pobrežník sivý and rybár dlhochvostý.

Access
The gravel pit is located directly north of the village of Neuvry. By car only (no train station around). You can go first to the western bird hide, and then walk along the eastern shore of the lake on the dirt road. Be careful, driving is forbidden on the dirt road around the lake, you're in a Natural Reserve, you may be fined. The circular walking route is about 4,5 km.
