You could easily overlook this tiny bird area. A small protected marsh of only some 30 hectares. It is hidden behind the hamlet of Courmelois and located between agricultural fields. A hiking trail of about one kilometer runs through the heart of it and is nice for birding in spring. You will need less than an hour to explore the area. Yet this can be a rewarding birdspot. vlha obyčajná and strakoš obyčajný are two of the nice birds you can find here. The landscape along the trail is open and you have a good view over the different kinds of marsh vegetation. From reeds to willows. Not an area for long walks, but nice if you are passing by or staying in the neighbourhood and with a chance to see vlha obyčajná or strakoš obyčajný.

Français: Vous pourriez facilement ignorer cette petite zone d'oiseaux. Un petit marais protégé ou seulement une trentaine d'hectares. Il est caché derrière le hameau de Courmelois et situé entre les champs agricoles. Un sentier de randonnée ou environ un kilomètre en traverse le cœur et est bon pour l'observation des oiseaux. Drive through Courmelois and just behind the village you can find the wetland. You can park alongside the road. See the P on the map. The trail begins next to the information panel.
