The observatory at Bois de Livry gives a view of the elongated lake, which in winter hosts kačica chripľavka, chochlačka vrkočatá, chochlačka sivá, hrdzavka potápavá, kačica hvizdárka, kačica lyžičiarka and sometimes hlaholka severská and potápač veľký. The wood is interesting for passerines.

The lake is located directly west of the town of Chartrettes. Park in the ENS car park. Click on a P on the map for directions.
