Along the salt lakes and salt pans of Etang de la Ville in Aigues Mortes, you can observe many different birds. Here, you are almost guaranteed to see plameniak ružový and have a good chance of spotting včelárik zlatý and čajka tenkozobá. You can combine this with a walk through the town and observe the many lastovička obyčajná and dážďovník obyčajný. There is a fenced-off section, accessible by payment, and an open section.

Etang de la Ville is located directly south of Aigues Mortes. There is ample parking (paid). Press P on the map for directions to a parking lot. The circular walk shown on the map is approximately 2 km.
Preferably visit outside the peak season due to crowds. Aigues Mortes is a tourist town.
