Description
Etang David is a place filled with bush birds, especially in springtime: penica čiernohlavá, slávik obyčajný, hrdlička poľná are easy to find, as well as rybárik riečny and hrdzavka potápavá on the pond. Woodpeckers can be found on deciduous trees: ďateľ veľký, ďateľ malý, žlna zelená, tesár čierny.
The place is also a nesting area for herons: chavkoš nočný, volavka popolavá, hltavka chochlatá can be spotted from the pond side.
Some raptors: haja tmavá, sokol lastovičiar and with chance haja červená and hadiar krátkoprstý are easy to spot hunting around.
Unusual birds like kúdeľníčka lužná are possible during a walk across this picturesque little place.

From St Just St Rambert Follow the direction "Chambles". After the lights, turn right to the signposted road "Etang David", unitl the; car park. The entrance of the site is across the raos along the canal
