Description
This sea embankment stretches from Saintes Maries-de-la-Mer to Salin-de-Giraud and crosses the southern sector of the Camargue Nature Reserve. It offers 20 km of foot and cycle paths from which you can discover the wild open spaces of the lagoons and saltmarshes. The track across the embankment is open throughout the year. It is strictly forbidden to leave the track and venture onto the dunes, even on foot. So please respect this!
Birds you can see here all year round : plameniak ružový, kazarka pestrá, lyžičiar biely, šabliarka modronohá, hvizdák veľký, kalužiak červenonohý, čajka čiernohlavá, kulík morský, penica hnedá, pipíška chochlatá. In summer: rybár malý, lastúrničiar strakatý, ľabtuška poľná, trasochvost žltý. In winter: pobrežník čiernozobý, pobrežník malý, pobrežník belavý. During migration: čegrava veľkozobá and hvizdák malý.
