The Bassins de Décantation in Stes Maries de la Mer are recognized nationally and internationally for the wealth of migratory birds. Particularly for the rare birds which it welcomes every year. You can see rare passerines (such as ľabtuška červenohrdlá or kolibiarik žltkastotemenný), waders (such as kalužiak žltonohý, brehárik ploskozobý, pobrežník škvrnitý, pobrežník tmavý, brodník sivý or kalužiak štíhly) or raptors (sokol ostrovný, sokol kobcovitý and kaňa stepná).

Access
The Bassins de Décantation are located just east of Stes Maries de la Mer. You can walk from the village of you can get there by car, by the dyke road that runs along the sea. The circular route around the area is about 3 km.
