Idyllic small park around an old manor.
Vuosaaren Kartano and Nordsjö Manor attract a variety of birds throughout the year. There's a small forest like area right next to the park that provides shelter for wildlife and the Uutela forest is on the other side of the road, so you never know what birds can visit the park. During the hot summer months, local bird enthusiasts bring water to a dent on a big rock that has proven to be a popular pool for birds like muchár sivý, sýkorka belasá, muchárik čiernohlavý, stehlík konôpka, ďateľ veľký, sýkorka veľká, vrabec domový, vrabec poľný, pinka obyčajná and zelienka obyčajná.
The trees and bushes in the area provide food and shelter for birds like penica čiernohlavá, kolibiarik spevavý, kolibiarik čipčavý, kôrovník dlhoprstý and červienka obyčajná. In autumn the parks multiple oak trees attract sojka obyčajná and birders have spotted ďateľ bielochrbtý in the area during autumn as well. Some of the rarer bird sightings have been žľtochvost domový and lelek lesný.
There's a parking place in the area and the manor is at walking distance from Vuosaari metro station. It's also possible to cycle there.
Best time to visit is early morning in summer time as the park is a popular place for visitors and dog walkers during good weather.
