Description
Uutela park has different forest types, marshes, rocks and shorelines within it. There's a lot of variety in bird species and it's a nice place to visit all year round. In spring and early summer it's possible to see and hear all kinds of singing birds: sedmihlások hájový , kolibiarik čipčavý , kolibiarik spevavý , kukučka obyčajná , trsteniarik krovinový , ľabtuška hôrna , penica obyčajná , penica popolavá , kolibiarik sykavý, červienka obyčajná , pinka obyčajná, muchárik čiernohlavý , muchár sivý , muchárik malý , sýkorka veľká , sýkorka belasá , sýkorka uhliarka , ľabtuška lúčna , penica čiernohlavá. You can spot migrating species as well. Thanks to the close proximity of the sea it's possible to spot a wide variety of both local and migrating sea birds by the shore too: labuť spevavá , labuť veľká ,potápač veľký , potápač prostredný ,chochlačka vrkočatá , hlaholka severská , ľadovka dĺhochvostá ,kajka morská , kačica divá , kalužiačik malý , bernikľa bielolíca , bernikľa veľká and volavka popolavá.
The Uutela communal gardens located at the heart of the park is also a great spot for seeing birds. (Check out the gardens' own page on Birdingplaces for more details!) There are three active bird feeding spots in the park during winter time. Some have bird food all year round but they're especially nice in winter. The more common sýkorka veľká , sýkorka belasá , sýkorka uhliarka , vrabec domový and vrabec poľný are almost always present but if you're lucky you might spot sýkorka chochlatá , sýkorka čiernohlavá and králik zlatohlavý on them too. brhlík obyčajný has been seen visiting one of the feeding spots during the summer too.
králik zlatohlavý is a common even if sometimes hard to see species in the park all around the year. drozd čierny can also be seen almost all year round. During the autumn migration seasons it's also possible to see chochľač severský too.

Access
There are two parking places in the area. The park is best explored by walking. It is also possible to cycle in the forest. The main paths are wide and maintained and are therefore suitable for wheelchair users as well. Please be mindful of where you walk and cycle, though, as there are nature reserve areas that should be protected.
