Description
Rauvolanlahti (Rauvola Bay) is located on the border of Turku and Kaarina cities. The bay is part of the Natura 2000 network. Rauvolanlahti together with the Katariinanlaako and Vaarniemi nature reserves are a popular bird watching destination. Among the birds you can encounter are červenák karmínový, fúzatka trstinová, trsteniarik malý, strnádka obyčajná, strnádka trstinová, kačica chrapka, chochlačka vrkočatá, hlaholka severská, potápka ušatá, chriašteľ vodný and močiarnica mekotavá.

The easiest way to explore the bay is to take the signposted route that starts from the Katariina district as a walkway and continues as duckboards across the bay to the bird watching tower and as a path further to the Vaarniemi grove.
