Description

Kallahdenniemen Uimaranta: the beach is a great place to watch birds during migration seasons as many species stop to rest and feed near the shore. Migrating waders are among the most interesting birds to see on the beach and it's possible to see a lot of rarer species if one is lucky. lastúrničiar strakatý and kalužiačik malý are a pretty common sight by the beach and it's possible to spot waders like pobrežník čiernozobý , kalužiak močiarny , pobrežník krivozobý ,kalužiak sivý , kulík piesočný , kulík riečný , pobrežník sivý , bojovník bahenný , hvizdák malý , brehár hrdzavý and kalužiak tmavý. Some lucky birders have even spotted šabliarka modronohá here.

čajka sivá , čajka smejivá , čajka striebristá , čajka tmavá , rybár riečny , rybár dlhochvostý and čegrava veľkozobá are regular birds by the beach. potápač veľký , potápač prostredný , labuť veľká ,kačica divá , hlaholka severská , chochlačka vrkočatá and bernikľa veľká are also common water fowl.

While waiting for waders to make an appearance it's also good to keep an eye on the reeds and their surroundings as you can spot common birds like trasochvost biely but also trasochvost žltý if you're in luck. When small birds are around birds of prey aren't far behind in the form of jastrab krahulec , jastrab veľký , kaňa močiarna and sokol lastovičiar. Some very lucky birders have also seen rybárik riečny stop briefly on the area.
