Description

There is a small community on the island. Skuvoy which is named after the large number of pomorník veľký breeding there, is an island with a rugged coast, steep cliffs, boulder-screes and grass slopes. The cliffs are breeding sites of fulmar ľadový , víchrovník malý , víchrovníček morský , norec tenkozobý , svišťúň zrkadlový , mníšik bielobradý and čajka trojprstá . hvizdák malý are breeding on the grassland.

Access

There is a passenger ferry operating the route between the more northern island Sandur and Skuvoy several times per day (mostly only on request). Travelling time: 35 min. Departure times may vary due to adverse weather conditions. The bus 101 is connecting Thorshavn and Gamlaraett, where a ferry brings you to Sandoy.
