Description

Paljassaare Special Conservation Area is a waders paradise. There is wooden broadwalk and at the end of "waders paradise" is bench. The shallow seabed attracts waders. Sometimes they are as close as 25 m. The area is very exposed so it can be quite windy. Among the birds you can encounter are kulík piesočný, lastúrničiar strakatý, kulík bledý, potápač prostredný, kalužiačik malý, kalužiak močiarny, pobrežník čiernozobý, pobrežník krivozobý, brehárik ploskozobý, labuť spevavá, kačica chrapačka, chochlačka vrkočatá, hlaholka severská, kačica lyžičiarka, trasochvost žltý, červenák karmínový, rybár riečny and rybár dlhochvostý.

Access

The area has a big parking lot. Click on the P in the map to get directions. Near the parking lot are many information signs which show you where to go. Actually you can start birding near the Katariina pier. The route indicated on the map is about 2 km long (one way)
