Description
There have been recorded more than 250 birds species. It is a nesting site of the in Silesia rare fúzatka trstinová and there are nesting some other rare birds like bučiačik močiarny , slávik modrák and červenák karmínový. It is also a popular bird stop during migration time. In Spring you can see there for example skaliarik sivý , svrčiak slávikovitý , čajka čiernohlavá , kršiak rybár and sometimes even trsteniarik vodný and trsteniarik tamariškový.
During the Autumn migration you can see many species of waders like pobrežník čiernozobý , bojovník bahenný , pobrežník malý , pobrežník krivozobý , kalužiak tmavý , kalužiak močiarny and some other. Also you can observe chriašť bodkovaný or chriašteľ vodný.
In Winter it is an ideal place for watching fúzatka trstinová and if you are lucky you can see wintering bučiak veľký or stehlík horský .
Various bird rarities were also recorded here: lyskonoh úzkozobý , kamenár strakatý , brodník sivý , brehár čiernochvostý , pobrežník hrdzavý , čajka orlia , rybár sivý , rybár dlhochvostý , lastovička červenochrbtá , kaňa stepná , čajka vidlochvostá , trsteniarik vodný , trsteniarik tamariškový and many others.

Access
The location is inaccessible by car, so it is best to park somewhere in Ostrava and walk to the location or go by bus. I recommend a walk along the western side of the pond. You can make a circle around, but if you want to see some reed birds, it is best to wait near the reeds or go on one of the fishing bridges (but be careful, it can be dangerous).
