Rare visiors that have been observed in the area are ľabtuška veľká, ľabtuška červenohrdlá, strnádka bielohlavá, strnádka záhradná, snehuľka severská, dudok chochlatý, myšiak severský, kaňa stepná, orol malý, luniak sivý and sokol kobcovitý.

You can visit the main part of Plateau du Gerny by car but the eastern part is forbidden for cars. The circular route indicated on the map is about 8 km.
