Description
The Handzame Broeken area consists of a extensive agricultural area, being mainly pastures, with scattered trees, bushes and willow tree lanes. The Kreekebeek river flows through the area and is a great spot for waterfowl, like kačica chrapka, kačica hvizdárka and kačica lyžičiarka. The surrounding pastures are good for flocks of cibík chochlatý. In winter, these pastures are part of the hunting grounds for kaňa sivá. In winter, area is also good for labuť spevavá.
The scattered (willow) trees are great for observing kuvik obyčajný and holub plúžik. The scattered bushes and fences are a great spot for breeding species, like pŕhľaviar čiernohlavý and pŕhľaviar červenkastý.

The area doesn't have walking tracks, but you can observe the area from the road.
