Description

The Myra Waterfalls (Myrafälle) gorge extends over 600 metres and is a protected natural monument. The Myrabach stream falls in several cascades through the gorge. There are small ponds at the upper and lower ends. There are 26 bridges and numerous walkways to roam along the gorge, where 5 million litres of water rush through daily. Along the path, 11 boards provide information about the history as well as the flora and fauna of the Myra Falls.

The mix of forests, limestone cliffs, and streams creates diverse micro-environments that attract both woodland and water-loving bird species. trasochvost horský and vodnár potočný are frequently seen near the cascades. In winter, murárik červenokrídly can be spotted on the rocks.
