Description
Only 15 km from Innsbruck, the Inzinger Gaisau is one of the last floodplains in the Inn Valley. It has ponds, woodlands, agricultural fields, wet meadows, reedbeds and borders the shores of the river Inn. This makes Inzinger Gaisau rich in habitats and therefore rich in birds.
Birds you can see here are drozd čvíkota, kolibiarik spevavý, potápač veľký, rybárik riečny, kalužiak perlavý, sedmihlások hájový penica čiernohlavá, ďateľ malý and both kôrovník dlhoprstý and kôrovník krátkoprstý and many species of tits. In winter sometimes you can encounter large flocks of stehlík obyčajný, stehlík čížik, and in late winter pinka severská (ikavec).
On the northern waters edge you have a good view on meadows and reedbeds. You can find pŕhľaviar červenkastý here and with some luck haja tmavá. On the pond you can see potápka malá and different kinds of ducks. Around the reedbeds check for chriašteľ vodný, strnádka trstinová, trsteniarik bahenný, trsteniarik veľký and trsteniarik malý.
