A great place to see endemic species of SW Australia and a wide variety of waterbirds. The 2.9 km trail around the lake is one of Albany's best areas for birds.
Waterbirds regularly found at Lake Seppings include Blue-billed Duck, Musk Duck, Black Swan and Australian Swamphen. Red-winged Fairy-wren, Red-eared Firetail, White-breasted Robin and Western Rosella are some of the bushbirds easily observed. Swamp Harrier is often present. When mud is exposed at the shore look for Buff-banded Rail, Spotless Crake and Black-fronted Dotterel.
Parking is available at Lake Seppings Dr / Anzac Rd and at Golf Links Rd. Click on the P in the map for directions or coordinates.
