This is an excellent place to see čajka arménska. Also there is enormous colony of .
There is a mix of landscapes: dry steppe, artificial pine forests and buckthorn bushes and coastal reeds. So you can encounter differebt birds such as holub hrivnák , fúzatka trstinová , ibisovec hnedý , skaliarik sivý .
In winter, there are lot of waterfoul birds wintering here, such as hrdzavka potápavá , chochlačka bielooká , lyska čierna , kazarka hrdzavá and others.

Access
The site is adjacent to the M10 main road and you can go there by car or by taxi (Press a P on the map for directions to a parking spot). Movement around the site can be on foot, or by cycle or motor vehicle.
Entrance to the Reserve is paid, costs 3000 amd per person (2025). Cars are allowed and free of charge. Territory open from 08.00 to 21.00, but you can enter earlier by foot, then about 08.00 rangers will find you and ask to pay.

During Soviet times, the lake was deliberately lowered by several metres, which explains the beach like appearance of much of the site.
