Description

The flooded former gravel workings in the Kennet valley running over four miles from south west Reading to Sulhampstead attracts birds all year round. Among the birds you can encounter are Славка-черноголовка, Славка-мельничек, Садовая славка, Соловьиная широкохвостка, Чеглок and Южный соловей. There is a substantial population of Winter ducks, mostly dabbling, including hundreds of Хохлатая чернеть, Серая утка and Свиязь and the odd Гоголь.
