Description
Located in the heart of the Somerset Levels and Moors, Greylake is a flat wetland with good paths and reedbed. Thanks to all the water, you can see Чибис, Травник and Бекас nesting in the spring. Smaller birds such as Камышевка-барсучок, Жёлтая трясогузка and Тростниковая овсянка can be heard and seen singing from the trails.
Over winter, vast flocks of ducks and waders, being hunted by birds of prey. Чибис and Золотистая ржанка are sometimes joined by Чернозобик, Турухтан and Большой веретенник. Large flocks of Свиязь, Чирок-свистунок and smaller groups of Широконоска, Серая утка and Шилохвость feed in front of the hides. Сапсан and Болотный лунь are seen regularly and Дербник and Полевой лунь occasionally.

Access
There is a free car park off A361 (Ashcott to Taunton road) well signposted just before entrance. There is a boardwalk which meanders from the car park to the hide and provides disabled access. Said to be wheelchair friendly but never tried.
