Estuary with extensive sand and mud exposed at low tide. An RSPB reserve.
Munlochy Bay RSPB has best access is at the north bank, 2 hours either side of high tide. At low tide the birds will be feeding far out on the mudflats. See a link to the tides table below. Look for Обыкновенная гага, Большой улит, Чернозобик, Кулик-сорока, Большой кроншнеп, Пеганка and Гоголь. Divers, auks, Северная олуша and skuas offshore.
Car park on A832 with access to old railway line. Or head south in Avoch to industrial estate, park up and walk past Ormond castle site. Munlochy village church has a car park (if no service in progress) for access to the south bank.
