At nearby Chesil Beach is a seasonal breeding colony of Малая крачка, which is monitored and guarded by volunteers. The main road from Weymouth to Portland passes the carpark and there are bus services. The postcode is DT4 9XE. On the site, all access is on foot, sometimes on boardwalk, more often on shingle slopes.
