Description

Barry Buddon is a huge M.O.D. (Ministry of Defence) training area with extensive coastal dunes, forest belts, birch scrub, heather, grassland and river outflow into the Tay estuary. Good for gulls, terns, waders, roosting geese in winter and migrant passerines. Often good numbers of Малая чайка in late summer. But the area is year round of interest. Rarities like Удод and Рюм have been observed here in the past.
