Nature reserve and renaturalized floodplain area with a bird observation tower and a boardwalk through the reedbeds.
The Lachner Aahorn nature reserve is a renaturalized floodplain area on the banks of lake Obsersee. The elevated boardwalk footbridge over Brachsmenbucht goes through reed habitats. The boardwalk is equipped with information boards. From the observation tower you can oversee areas that cannot be entered. The area is home to a variety of bird species, especially waterfowl and reed birds. In winter many species of ducks can be observed, for example Красноносый нырок, Морская чернеть, Синьга, Большой крохаль and Гоголь.
Lachner Aahorn is located in the canton of Schwyz, on the banks of lake Obsersee near the town of Lachen. You can park near the little marina on the south side of the area. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. From the parking you can explore the area on foot.
