Access

Allmend Frauenfeld is located north of the town of Frauenfeld. You can walk or bike there from Frauenfeld. If you're driving, you can park for free in one of the parking lots. For the route I've described, it's best to use parking space 6. Parking is limited to 6 hours, so be sure to leave your parking disc. Public transport: by train to Frauenfeld train station and then take the bus. After that, it's still a bit of a walk.

Extra info

The area is adjacent to the Frauenfeld military base and is partly used by the military. One should pay attention to the board with the guidelines. You should also not forget to leave your parking disc in your car, as parking is only allowed for 6 hours. There is no restaurant or toilet in the area. The next opportunities are on the outskirts of town.

The route (4 km) shown is just an example of how to walk. There are countless possibilities, depending on personal fitness and how the time management is right. When the military exercises, the barriers are closed. If you just shoot you can still walk, you shoot further away. This does not disturb the birds. The path is a forest path, smaller paths can sometimes be a bit muddy after heavy rain.
