Description
From the top of Lernacken there is a great view of the bay and the straight S of the Öresund bridge. Just below the height there is a small lagoon, reed beds, meadows and some groves. The area is interesting all times of the year but especially at spring and autumn.
From the very top of Lernacken, at the statue, there is a wide view in all directions and is a good spot to follow the migration.
The lagoon and outside the inlet is good for ducks; Свиязь, Шилохвость, Пеганка, Чирок-свистунок and less often Серая утка. In spring and summer it is also a good spot for Малая крачка and ocassionally Чеграва, some years Шилоклювка tries to breed (never with success). Breeding species are Водяной пастушок, Тростниковая овсянка.
As a spoot for shorebirds it is mainly good for Tringa; Травник, Большой улит, Фифи, Щёголь, Черныш, Перевозчик. Other waders are more scarce even though Чернозобикis frequent and in small numbers other Calidris. Occasionally Тулес, Малый веретенник. As the name suggests there has been seen Мородунка( 2002).
The grooves are interesting in spring and autumn migration for resting passerines; Красноголовый королёк, Малая мухоловка and in winter Вальдшнеп has been seen.
The location close to the Öresund straight should suggest that the local would be good for watching seebirds and the migration along the coast, fex Обыкновенная гага. This is not the case, the reason is debated but the Öresundsbridge might be one of the answers, and a big part of the Обыкновенная гагаcross Skåne over land a bit further up at the coast. Despite this a low number of the migrating birds can be seen at sea.

Access
The area is easily reached by local bus, nr 4 , either step of at Bunkeflovägen and walk W down Stenöregatan, or step of at Betalstationen and walk through Limhamns old shooting range up on Lernacken.
If going by car park either at the gasstation at Kalkbrottsgatan or at Stenöregatan.
